 ProtexM (TM) is a modified acrylic fibre with permanent flame retardant (FR) qualities.
When the fibre is used in blend with cotton (cellulosic or other fibres) a positive synergistic effect takes place. When used in the recommended proportions the combination of the two fibres increases the LOI to 35. Therefore following standards can be met: (based on 55% Protex M / 45% Cotton, cloth weight 200 g/m², 10 sec. flame exposure)
EN 531 parts A, B & C, EN 470-1, EN 471 (only yellow), EN 1149 (in blends with antistatic fibres)
